He goes by many names...
…Murali, The Doctor, Brother, Husband, Dad, Cousin, Uncle, Tata, Maestro, and to Mom : “That Man!”.
We will refer to him as Tata for the many grandchildren around him right now, as I am outnumbered.

UPDATE – 7/8/24-7/9/24
Tata has been resting, and his pain control is working. His memory is sharp and makes incredible connections most of us long forgot. Remarkable really.
The West Coast crew returned to San Francisco except Raj and Sonia, who return Wednesday. We had a nice dinner together and watched a movie at Longboat Key Club hotel room. Raj and Sonia checked out today and will stay with me.
Tata was surrounded by just about everyone yesterday. His faces beamed as he saw his family gathered.
Kirin from Virginia came to say hello, as did his friends from the Condo, and from Venice (Jhansi).
The team at Tidewell has been great, as we tend to spread out quite a bit and take over. Very supportive staff.
Laxmi Auntie ran out to the Indian Store to get a few items. Jyothi Auntie led us in music and mantras.
Dennis King has been at Tata’s side all day and holds his hand the whole time.
Sonia working on website to get photos uploaded easier. Thanks for patience.

Mom as been with Tata almost non-stop for days/weeks. Laxmi Auntie has been a great support to her, and Becky has been helping on logistics and tasks. Tata was visited by many family yesterday and was beaming with pride and love. Raj, Melissa, Kheli, Kiran, Kinnari, Becky, Tej, Taran, Prasad, Neeru, Ram (Bangor), Raja (Lakewood Ranch), Laxmi, Madhavi, and Rama all visited. Pavan (Boston, NYC), Pradeep/Mukund/Jyoti (NYC) all arriving today. His closest friend and fellow UCONN Basketball junkie, Dennis King and Cynthia King coming today.
While Tata was in pain two days ago, Prasad worked with him to free his breathing, enabling him to speak better. His memory is amazing and his recall unbelievable. His eyes are sooo expressive and even in pain from broken ribs, Tata is smiling and holding all of our hands.
Last night, he was moved into the Hospice Wing at Sarasota Memorial Hospital (SMH). Room 7466, Elevator L. Sejal, Kheli, and Kinny are conspiring to set up a TV marathon for him in his room of one of Tata’s favorite shows : ‘Suits’.
Sejal is staying at Lido while the West Coast Crew is on Longboat. Sonia is on a plane hurtling through the stratosphere to get here. Taran is distracting everyone with his cuteness while I systematically steal Mom’s secret Indian spices from her pantry. Her secrets are now mine!

Dear Leela Aunty,
I will always have fond memories of the many summers we spent at your house as kids. Uncle was always so nice and easy to talk with and made everyone feel welcome. My wife Ashley recalls what a kind person he was at our wedding and at our son Kalan’s 1 year ceremony in Avon, CT. Our deepest condolences to the entire Atluri family.
May Murali uncle rest in peace.
Murali Garu had helped me for my education and my mother, father and I are grateful for this. I am the son of Madan Mohan Rao Adusumilli and Lalita Rao. My deepest condolences to their family members. I had briefly met Murali Garu and his family members, his meeting has etched my memory. I will always remember him.
